It's Getting Dark!

Two months have passed, and I'm starting to feel DARK, you know angry, pissed off, alone all that shit, I'm just not diggn' it at all. I know I'm in a PHASE, grief, and have no idea how long it will last. Like last month, all i could do from all out crying explosions was try to think of something else, but her gorgeous blue eyes would pop into my head, or remembering my last big "I F__KEN LOVE YOU KISS" kinda kiss with groping, and all! It's been awhile, i almost can't remember, am i starting to loose some memory of good times, i don't f__ken know, i am so pissed, and just down right angry, like i want to start shit w/someone! Your probably thinking no don't, what if? That's what I'm saying, i don't give a f--k right know, I like, want to turn the amperage up on my brain output, and see things for how they really are, not like I'm on some testosterone/steroid infusion high. I really believe it's my brain releasing endorphins for me to cope w/the trauma my son and i experienced that night, pulling my wife to the ground, and starting CPR, yelling at her to "wake the f__k up please", over and over for what seemed like an eternity, all in front of my son, how f__ked up is that. I imagine I hurt deep, real deep, because the pain is overwhelming at times, but I'm never off my watch, ever, this is our second son, and not the first time raising a child, I think I'm a great F__ken Dad. This Phase I'm in will to pass, when? What phase is next? I'm not destructive, that's just not an option on my watch, no f__ken way.

I was emailing back and forth w/a friend I met on eBay. She and her family are very spiritual, so she was emailing me awesome quotes from famous writers throughout our history, and best of all Hand Picked Scripture. I never looked her up on the internet for any pictures, i didn't care, she gave me hope, faith and encouragement for at least a couple of weeks, but i had to tell her recently that basically theirs a storm a coming, I'm it, and i will just chew her up and spit her kind hearted ass out....................I just told her that "I can take it from here", "you helped me get back on my feet", "thank you"!, you see, I saw the F__ken train coming, and I didn't, I'm mean, I didn't want to hurt this BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, whom I only knew from her emails. I had to leave her to her Beautiful Family. I have sense, almost "Hyper" sometimes, a little spooky. Thats whats up with me.................Don't worry, I'll say hello to her again, just not in this F__ked up stage......

My Love Has Passed Away...........

My dear sweet love, my wife and my life, passed away this month of December the first 2011. My wife had a Heart Attack on November 17Th this year, and was in ICU ( to never wake again) until December 1st. My wife's family and I decided to let her go on the first day of her favorite month of the year. She is gone and I am the saddest man on this planet earth. I cry everyday, and every time i am reminded of her, or even smell a memory. She was only 49, and i am 47. We were about to relocate to Hawaii on November 17Th the day of her heart attack. I guess with everything happening, going to happen, and in hindsight we never stood a chance. We have a 13 yr old, now i am his mom and dad, this is a tall order, and with the world on my shoulders i only pray i am everything to him in his eyes, he is my angel.

God, how much can one man take??? My knees buckle with sadness, loss and a pain i wish no one need ever experience anytime soon.....I pray for the strength too care, love and nurture my son!

What makes a "Good Man".............

What Makes A Good Man: It all depends on where the Bar is set. Some Women have higher standards than others (as do men, this is for men), why? one theory is a Healthy Respect for a good mans qualities, and how to identify them early on. Lets say Mom found a great husband, and Father, and over time mom (unknowingly) conveys to her young daughter through positive reinforcement that dads traits are perfect examples of a Man/Partner! Flip the table, this beautiful picture can also work in the exact opposite with long term negative effects. Example: bad father, bad partner, bad husband etc...mother conveys just the opposite message, I assume leaving the women with limited choices in a partner out of simple fear and anxiety over the whole matter. EVERYONE CHANGES!!!, and everyone deserves a second chance, no ifs ands or buts.....

I love being a man, I love loving women (one at a time), I cant see my life being any different. I knew I loved women at the age of 12, I had this respect for women that most kids my age didn't have for girls, let alone women. Said all the right things that seem to come natural, a maturity that peers didn't get till one friend just recently said "You know, you have always had a pretty girl on your arm since the sixth grade, he was right, again the guy whose girlfriends girlfriends always asked "do you have a brother?". Look, you have it or you don't but you need to get it for your future or current partner. Be confident in everything you do EVERYTHING, be the best you can be at everything, kick your game up and act like you give a big shit about yourself, and everyone around you. Be a Gentlemen open the fucking door to everything, your partner is first AFTER YOU! Are you getting it yet, no matter who your with be the sweetest, nicest you can possibly be, this includes being especially nice to your elders, mother, father, friends and especially the opposite sex. Be who you are, no bullshit, women see right through that, be comfortable in your skin, and women will sense this air of confidence. Their is a person out there for everyone, appearing you have your shit together will attract the opposite sex, that is no bullshit. If you have an edge, tattoos, cool haircut, good looks (i didn't say good looking, everyone has good looks) something that sets you apart from the rest. I personally stand out like a horse, not the size, the air of confidence. "Changing that that hasn't worked helps a great fucking deal". Take some thought into what you are always doing, ALWAYS! You can only be as good or better with your partner when your the best or better with YOURSELF first, GET IT!, I hope so for now.

I would like to say Hello to all those who continue to utilize my Blogs Accoutrement's. I have been through some major changes and can only say "There is a GOD". My Families lives have taken a 180 degree turn for the better. We are moving to Hawaii in November 2011 for good. My wife's Mother is 90 years young at mind, and warrants our care for her at this stage of her Health. If theirs anybody I would love to help take care of in their 90's, it would be this fascinating women. Married to a Navy Captain, raised 7 Kid's on her own when the youngest was 4 years young. Tough as Nails heart as Gold, loves her daughter, and her daughter loves her! My Son will learn how to Fish, Snorkel, Surf, Hike in the Tropics, learn the rich Culture, go to School, and blend in. Example, a person whom will go unnamed, out of the blue buys me a brand new car. yes, drops the cash to pay it in full, and we ended up picking out the car I've been researching for 3mos. Yes, me & the family were more than ready for a new car since ours was a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker w/ 100K miles. This car was loved at the beginning, but shortly after purchase, this car would strand me, and land me in the repair shop (for an expensive repair) every 3 mos. As you can see, I have some New Tattoos. These Tatt's were most wanted for 7 years, they cover some scarring on both arms from a barrage of medical treatments. Anyway, they are still brand new (1 week), and cant wait till they are all healed up.

I have been away from the Blog World, but now I'm back. I still enjoy Cigars, and have been looking for a way to actually make money on the Internet. Sifting through the "Scams" has given me the knowledge to find the legitimate money makings site's. NO, not MLM's or anything of the like. It's not easy updating, contest's, sale's, new products and on, and so on. However, with all the new information pouring out from makers to retailers I grab it and place it on my Blog the "Village humidor". I recently registered at Trufitt & Hill, and got a nice package of facial shaving & cologne samples. Wow, these people know how to pack a sample package. It has about 150 single cigars, and will hold up to 300 cigars. All of my cigars in the "Village Humidor" are for aging, because they are Rare, Limited and Vintage. My daily cigars are held in another humidor (not named) separately. I wanted to give you something to read today, but it's hot in Southern California, and have kid's that need my attention right now. I love Coffee and coffee loves me right back. I put my morning coffee through the espresso machine, and turn out a great concoction. What the hell does that mean Vinvango? (lol). The following is an Iced Coffee Recipe that I came up with about a year ago, and here it is: I take a 20oz. cup, place 1/4 cup Nesquik, 1-teaspoon granulated sugar, 3-shots of Cafe Bustelo', 1/4 cup frozen Cool Whip, 3-lrg. ice cubes, and the balance of the glass will be made up of cold Milk. When coffee (3-shots) is done brewing, throw all the ingredients (except milk) into the cup, and stir for 20sec. only, stir and add milk to the top. You can add whip cream (from a CAN) to the top of cup, sprinkle a little Nesquik onto whip cream and your "concoction" is ready for it's presentation.

Vendor Steps up to the Plate, and Hits a Home Run!

When dealing with Vendors in the Cigar Industry, you will come across certain individuals who want the big bucks, and notoriety. That just doesn't work for me. These vendors bank on the number of people they associate with, but when it comes to values, moral judgements, and ethical practice's, they fall way short of the mark. I have run into some seedy character's and wont mention their names, but you know who you are and I will not promote your site even on my death bed. I'm talking about certain Cigar Blogs that feel the need to display arrogance. My Blog is a Resource Center, free to all, no tricks, no gimmicks, and especially no big hoops to jump through to selflessly promote their Blog.

I praise those who go above and beyond for cigar consumers, like: Sean Knutsen @ Boveda-Direct. This Marketing Director jumps through hoops for his customer's, not the other way around. I have given him all my business and refereed my readers to him because Sean is an expediter, and if somethings broke, he will fix it, like yesterday!!! I give Sean & Boveda-Direct a whopping 10+.

Cigar Chat Room's-Can you play Nice w/others?

Chat room's are popping up everywhere on just about every topic. In my experience it's best if you try a few forums to see how you get along with it's members. Not all forums are nice, and some are down right rude. I put together some really great forum Links (see title 15) list) for you to test drive. Remember, whats great/good for one person, may not workout for you. Register with a few, and see how people respond to you as a newbie to their site. If everyone comes out to greet you, that's a good sign! Feel the mood of the members, are they stale n old acting, or upbeat n warm. I found my forum "Social Cigar", and can't say enough great things about it's members and website. Take a look at my Title: (15) (scroll down), and browse the list of chat room's that I registered & researched.

The backbone of America is and has always been the Cigar Smoking Blue Collar Worker. Well, maybe they don't all smoke cigars, but they all have Tales of Terror at one time in their lives about them or someone they knew who just didn't have the right equipment for the right job. When I first started buying Cigars by the Box I found that there were about ten top online retailers selling about the same inventory for about the same price, until I started comparing. Cigars have never been cheap and they never will be, so I decided to learn all that I could about the product "Tobacco" and work my way up to the finished product. Wow, I thought I knew something about cigars until I peeled away the layers. Castro Steps Aside After Surgery!

Fidel Castro has stepped down and relinquished his power over to his brother Raul Castro the Defense of Ministry. What is Cuba's fate? I've linked BBC News (title) to keep you up to date to the current situation in Cuba. I do just want to say that most likely nothing will change until our current U.S. President steps down (that sounds familiar!). The new U.S. President will most likely (with public pressure) answer Cuba's call for some type of relief. A complete or partial lift of the current embargo or even some type of economic assistance. Developers would have a hay-day with so much beach front property, and the country in need of so much liquid cash. I could go on, but would rather you form an opinion on the matter with the BBC News link above!

Review of the new: Social Cigar-Chat Room

I had the opportunity to stumble upon a chat room called the Social Cigar. It's one of the newest additions to the Camacho Cigar Maker's official website. Just so you know a little about me, I don't lead cigar smokers to chat rooms because I find it to be a personal thing that you need to find out about through friend, Herf or even a Cigar Convention. However, this is the exception. I did register (sign-up) and was greeted by some of the chatters. The Moderator in charge is Dylan Austin who is currently employed by Camacho Cigars and his right hand moderator is Tommyboymartin. They give you a warm welcome and ask you to start posting right away. They have approximately 1,200 Members at the moment, and growing. Live chat is the norm, and any topic goes with cigars being the primary topic. Chat room's are becoming more and more popular these days, especially when they allow you to basically build your own blog on their Social Cigar website. I found this to be on the cutting edge for things to come.

2008 is Going to be Great!

How do I find the Best Deal? I have found that it's not necessarily the best price that draws me to an e-tailer. I've found that consumers price shop before they make purchases of $100 and more. First is price and second is the retailer. If you get a great price with an unreputable retailer, you may want to just kiss off any customer service, and in some circumstances that works. However, cigars consumers need customer service before, during and after the purchase. I have put together a list (see "Favorite Cigar Links) of reputable e-tailers that are A+ in every aspect. I want to reiterate again that in order to keep you finger on the pulse of the cigar industry you must request catalogs and newsletters from my "Favorite Cigar Links". Each e-tailer will email/mail you these resources monthly. My wife got me a box of 5 Vegas Limitada 07, box #275 of 500. All I have to say is WOW, this year (of 3) is the best batch to date, La Aurora makes the Limitada (05, 06 & 07) irresistible. If you purchase a box from Cigars International you get a freebie, and if from cigar.com, you get a signed box. These are the only two e-tailers exclusive to the 5 Vegas Limitada. I've been watching the La Aurora Robusto All Star 10 cigar sampler, 4-brands all 93 rated and has been $89 for months. Well, Holts sent out an email dropping the price to $59. Sampler includes 3-100 Anos, 2-1495's, 2-Leon Jimenes Series 300 with a 2001 Camaroon Wrapper and 3-Preferido's. Jaw dropping!!! Also Holts has a sampler called "The Show Stopper", with 5-cigars as follows, 1-Fuente F. Opus X Belicoso XXX, 1-Ashton VSG, 1-Padron 1964, 1-Don Pepin Black 1997 Churchill (holts exclusive) and 1-D.Pepin San Cristobal, all for $50. You save a few bucks, but it's the selection that you need if your going to try and keep up with the Jone's. Heres a tip for those of you that get paid every two weeks, and when you see an item on sale and just cant swing it until you get paid, well here's a solution exclusive to Holt's. Tell them the item you want, give them the credit card you want charged, and they will hold it until that date and charge the card you provided. you lock in the sale price, and quantity.

I just got Holt's free catalog and still put them a #1 for the most informative, best layout and widest selection of new product. More and more Mfg's are making samplers and promo packs. I found in Holt's fall Catalog a wide variety of top shelf premium boutique samplers that range from $30 to $131 for only 3-5 cigars. It seems as though one of the only e-tailers that includes such outstanding cigars in their monthly club selections is Cigar.com. I would know this. So, if you are like me in anyway and want the newest, best and freshest cigars, join a monthly club and check out Holt's on-line or request a catalog.

I have too much on my plate right now! I go away for a month and it seem's like the Industry has changed overnight. The Cigar prices are firm right now (low), and with the new Tax Bill on everyone's mind, out come the freebies. I have never seen so much free crap given away with a box order. Lighters, hats, cutters, cases, humidors, more cigars and it's all free if you would just buy a box of cigars. Now for the Newbie cigar smoker, this is heaven. I mean, what new smoker doesnt need most of the free stuff given away. Now the price is coming way down for most e-tailers, and the free stuff just puts it over the top for most. I did notice though that BestCigarPrices.com is making a dash for your money. They have put out a catloge for 2007. No pictures or sales blurbs. Juts A to Z Names w/their prices. More sites have upgraded certain features, most are offering free shipping (w/min.order) and yes almost everyone is giving something away. Right now is the best time to shop for cigars. Please dont sell yourself short, you can afford the most expensive cigars on the market, in samplers and/or promo packs. TinderBox.com is the #1 site for samplers right now. I am on a deadline w/Smoke Magazines Winter 2007 Issue. I am going to pull off a miracle and get my reviews in on time 10/29/07. More to come this week!

Want to Know Everything About Cigar's & The Lifesytle?

Well, you've found the right place. I continue to amaze myself as to how much information I can gather on cigars. My "Learning Library" alone gives you enough knowledge to converse with even the sharpest aficionado. In my "Never Too Much Information" area there's a really insightful link by Cigar Aficionado Magazine on Cuba. In short, the link below (Cuba who, what where etc..) has forty two separate articles on the current situation between the United States and Cuba. Just a reminder, please enter a "Contest a day, to keep the retailer away", you will eventually win like I have, 3-times in two years. I keep my "Deals Worth Looking Into" up to date, so if your in the market for some hot off the press deals, check back every other day. I added the "Chi Re-fueling Station" so after a long day, you can put on a great music video, browse for the most up to date deals from only the top and most reputable e-tailers, and last, change your life by upgrading your image. One of the newest addition's is "Bitch & Moan", where you can register a sub-domain, bitch & moan, and give the address to everyone you know, and like a website, advertise it so the entire world can see how bad someone screwed you. You can spot an Aficionado from a mile away, first is the Cigar Band, you need to be at minimum a connoisseur to recognize a brand from it's band. Second, smooth shaved, women love a clean shaved man who third, smells great! An aficionado also has the most current issue of Cigar Aficionado (or of the like publication) and has read it from cover to cover, so that he can intelligently converse about the industry, and know what the hell he's talking about. An aficionado researches his passion, so when the time comes to drop a load of cash on a box of cigars, he will know exactly what he wants, and wont have to spend senseless time listening to less knowledgeable sales rep's. He is a man of confidence and self assurance, ready to make tough decision's at any given notice. How is this possible? I'll tell you, and it's easy as long as you invite the change. Familiarize yourself with Village Humidor's layout (top to bottom) and start your apprenticeship. I have an astronomical amount of information and resources that not one blog on the web even comes close, well two: Cigar Aficionado & Cigar Cyclopedia, but their not blogs, are they! Hey, did someone mention catalog's. I am a big fan of catalog's and newsletters from all the great cigar vendors. I have access to over 2,000 retailers "Directory of Retail Tobacconist's" that want your email address so they can send you fresh product info, great sales and valuable tip's. I want you to feel at home at "Village Humidor", so please come back and visit and see what Aficionado's are up to. Oh and by the way, in my last post I mentioned that I got four 92 Rated Quintero Maduro's from/by Altadis for $9.95 (free shipping) and they were outstanding. I won't go into how much they smelled and tasted like chocolate (leave that up to the makers), however these cigars were fantastic for an aficionado's everyday cigar. They reminded me of the very popular "La Aroma de Cuba's", made extremely well and very affordable for everyday consumption. In closing, please do or continue doing what you can to fight the new "Tobacco Tax" (see my post "tax update 09/2007").

A Contest a Day!

I have a section on my blog called "A Contest a Day, keeps the Retailer away". It's a list of the most reputable cigar contest's on the web. I enter them everyday and some every month. I have won three different contest's this year. The most recent win was in June for the Smoke Magazine reviewers contest. So I get an email from the editor stating that I won and will receive up to eight different un-banded cigar brands, three of each, for a total of 24 cigars. I had about sixteen days to smoke,review and send the results back to them by the deadline. Well, for me to review cigars is no big deal, however, I didn't find but two brands to be even worthy of a bad bundle. The two brands that I did enjoy were at best an overall 89 rating. Why were the other brands so bad, I just don't know, but what the couple of weeks of reviewing these cigars did do, was improve and elevate my reviewing skills. Yes, to review only great and even fantastic cigars would have been ideal, but to review mainly nasty cigars did give me a much needed appreciation for fine quality cigars. I only purchase premium cigars and now believe that somehow, somewhere down the road I had taken the fine art of cigar crafting for granted. I will continue to review good, bad or indifferent cigars, because the industry needs qualified cigar smokers to inform them on how well or bad their product is before it hits the market. Well, let me proudly inform you that Village Humidor is a blog that encompasses all the current aspects of the cigar industry. How do I use your site vinvango? Easy, you think of something either you need or want and I will have a "Link" pertaining to your exact desire. There are headers (Titles) that give a brief description of what your looking for, under the header are links with multiple vendors to choose from. I've put together choices for you under each header, so that you aren't limited in your search. If you've been bit by the cigar bug, and now find yourself with a deep passion for cigars, join the club. I needed an outlet for my passion, so I put this blog together so you can have all the resources I have, but on one site, "Village Humidor". It takes me about 1/2 day everyday, sifting through emails, catalogs, specials, books and magazines to come up with fresh, current and critiqued material for you, the reader! Cigar.com's: Better Homes & Humidors

Cigar.com's August 2007 catalog has this "Featured Humidor" article on page 34, about one of their regular customer's "Joe P." "He has a cigar stash of more than 3,500 premium cigars, nearly all of which are rare and hard to find and purchased from cigar.com". From the looks of it, Joe has dotted his I's and crossed his T's. A fine Humidor, and if we had it our way, ours would look just like Joe's! I'm going to get right to the point on this subject. If cigar's are part of your life style and you consider yourself an enthusiast, connoisseur or even an aficionado , then a monthly cigar club is right up your alley. I first want to say that, what some e-tailers promise you and what you get are sometimes two different things. A monthly cigar club is suppose to give you a fantastic choice of brands made by some of the finest makers in the industry. Let me explain, for one monthly price on a basic plan you should get 4-5 different cigars, a well written guide or newsletter explaining all the characteristics of the cigars you've just received and your cigars should come to you well humidified, perfectly packaged and on a regular monthly basis. Do these services currently happen with all the monthly clubs?, NO! It takes a lot of work and experience to make all of these aspects come together every month for all club members. A reputable club will allow you to try a variety of cigars so that you can get familiar with what appeals to your pallet. Use this monthly opportunity to experience different brands, wrappers, binders, fillers, shapes, sizes, and from of course, different makers. I am fortunate enough to belong to Cigar.com's "Cigar of the Month Club". I pay $29.95 a month (includes shipping & handling), and receive 5 of the most outstanding cigar selections, 10% member discount (see terms) and a very well written newsletter/guide. Their customer service department is off the chart when it comes to satisfaction. I urge you to find a representative you feel comfortable with and stick with that rep every single time. Cigar Catalog's, a Must Have!

If you don't have the time to surf through retailer's websites for the best price's on your favorite cigars, then I'm going to give you a couple of simple ways to get what you want, when you want it. You can always checkout my weekly "DEALS WORTH LOOKING INTO" links, and/or inform you that most retailer's offer their own catalog sent right to your door on a regular basis. On my blog in the "MY FAVORITE CIGAR LINKS" section are retailers who have put a lot of time and money into their catalogs and they want you to have one in your possession so that you may hopefully purchase from them. Just click on the retailer (favorite link) you want a catalog from, fill out their catalog request form, and there you go. A current catalog showing some of the best deals out there will be sent to you within approximately a weeks time. My goal is to assist you in obtaining valuable industry information so that you will be a more proficient buyer. RTDA's Take Action Now Against New Proposed Tobacco Tax Bill for SCHIP, Update!!!

At 2 am this morning, the House Ways & Means Committee approved H.R. 3162, a bill to expand the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to be funded by higher tobacco taxes and cuts in the Medicare Advantage Program. At this time, the full House and Senate are expected to consider their respective measures next week.

The House bill would increase the tax on large cigars to a new rate of 44.63% with a tax cap of $1 per cigar. There was some talk of trying to reduce the rate to 33%, but this would result in a revenue loss projected at $1 billion over 5 years. There was no interest in reducing the $1 cap. The tax on pipe tobacco would go to $1.26 per lb. Floor stocks taxes would be assessed on cigarettes only, payable on April 14, 2008.

Under the Senate proposal, large cigars would be taxed at 53.13% of the manufacturer's sale price (capped at $10 per cigar) and pipe tobacco at $2.8126 per lb. Floor stocks taxes would be assessed on all tobacco products from the manufacturer through the retailer level, payable on April 1, 2008.
Both bills would make the effective date of the tax increases January 1, 2008.

Currently, large cigars are taxed at a higher rate than any other tobacco product. Indeed, the current tax is higher than any other product on which the IRS levies a federal excise tax. The new tax proposals would make this discrepancy even more outrageously pronounced.

Many of you have already contacted both Chambers of Congress—do it again! Persistence pays off! We must all continue contacting your Congressmen or Congresswomen and Senators and urge them that they seek reductions in the cigar tax increases. We will provide you with additional information as news becomes available.
